CloudRows > Frequently Asked Questions
What is CloudRows?
CloudRows delivers cost control for your Amazon Web Services (AWS) account. It enables
you to be sure you are operating within your IT budget, and notifies you before
a budget exception is about to occur.
Does using CloudRows affect the performance of my applications?
No. CloudRows operates with zero footprint by downloading the AWS activity logs directly from Amazon. Since all analytical processing is performed on the CloudRows servers, your current and future hosted applications are completely unaffected.
Do I have to sign in with my AWS account credentials?
Yes. CloudRows periodically downloads your AWS activity files from your Amazon.com account. This requires you to provide your AWS account credentials when you sign in to CloudRows. CloudRows performs secure, read-only activity using these credentials. You can find out about how your personal information is protected in our Privacy Notice.
What are the system requirements to use CloudRows?
CloudRows does not require software downloads or installation – the service is accessible from any web browser.
Does CloudRows support mobile access?
Yes. CloudRows enables you to track your cloud spending and activity from your mobile phone.
How do I track my budget and spending?
CloudRows works by constantly monitoring your AWS activity logs in the background, and producing meaningful cost analytic reports for budget tracking. CloudRows sends push-notifications to your email so you can be sure that you will never be surprised by the AWS billing statement.
